How to STOP procrastination!

Hello everyone, today I want to share with you a little article on how stop procrastination! I know this can be hard at times when we have social media, Netflix, our bed, etc surrounding us, so having to do the tasks can be quite a challenge. Lately I have struggled with having to organize my schedule, considering that I must work, study, and not leaving behind personal projects, so procrastination can be a silent enemy. I will share with you some tips on how to stop procrastination:

  1. Write down on an agenda on what you must do.

To me this is a key point. If you know you must do a lot of things, but they are all fussy and in disorder in your mind this will stress you out and make you procrastinate even more. By grasping your agenda write the date and list the thing you must do that day. To motivate yourself on the task, try to have a nice and ordered agenda. Order is essential.

  • Work a schedule setting a deadline, stating how much time a day you will study.

In this schedule that can be part of your agenda, you will determine at what hours you will be working or studying, For example: Study for Math from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Take a break and have dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Review Vocabulary from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

  • Get rid of distractors!

You can have the best schedule, the cutest markers, but if you have distractors and tend to easily fall into them, please get rid of them at first hand. By distractors we are talking of family members walking around, television, music, cellphone, or computers that won´t help you in the study process.

It´s important that you visualize the place in which you will be studying. It must be a quiet place, with natural lightning and ventilation.

  • Have the things you need at handy.

One way of procrastination is interrupting the study because you forgot your pencils, some white sheet of paper, water, coffee etc. So, have everything you will need at your desk before you start working or studying.

  • Start with the hardest tasks first.

One way of procrastination is leaving the task you are dreading to do at last. So just start with the hardest tasks and you will later feel more liberated or even more productive.

Message: So its normal if we sometimes fall into procrastination and feel guilty later on, but when you feel procrastination is carrying you on put a STOP sign on it, stand up and start working on your agenda and desk. There are always little things in which you can motivate yourself, in my case it is a good cup of coffee, a new agenda, where that studying and working will eventually take you and those dreams that you definitely don´t have to give up on.
